What your Moon sign reveals
Your Moon sign runs your private life: your moods, your habits, what you reach for when you’re tired or rattled. It’s the self that exists before coffee, before the performance of the day — the version of you that your closest people know.
Moon’s needs are specific, not poetic: some Moons recharge in solitude, others in company; some need routine and others need novelty. And when those needs go unmet for long, it rarely shows up as a philosophical crisis: it shows up as irritability, restlessness, picking fights about nothing. Knowing your Moon sign names the need before it turns into a symptom.
Why do you need your birth time?
The Moon moves fast — about thirteen degrees a day, changing signs roughly every two and a half days. Most of the time your birth time just sharpens the result, but if you were born near a sign change, a few hours before or after can put you in a different sign entirely.
That’s why the calculator asks for the time. And if you don’t know your birth time, enter the date anyway: when the Moon stays in one sign all day, your result is certain regardless, and when it changes signs mid-day, the calculator shows you both possibilities honestly instead of guessing.

Sun sign vs Moon sign: what is the difference?
Your Sun sign describes the direction of your growth: the qualities you are here to develop over a lifetime. Your Moon sign describes the ground you grow from: your emotional needs, your instincts, and what restores you when you’re empty.
Neither matters more; they answer different questions. The Sun asks who you are becoming. The Moon asks what you need in order to become it.
One placement is a chapter
Your Moon sign is a single thread in a much larger weave — your Sun, your rising sign, and the aspects between your planets tell the rest. If this glimpse resonated, a natal reading maps the whole pattern: who you are, what you need, and where you’re headed.
